Test Results-Parasite/Adrenal

I received the results from the parasite re-test. It showed that the hookworm is gone, but it showed that there is a possible parasite, it said: Parasite present: taxonomy unavailable. My health care practitioner said this could indicate that their are remains from the previous parasite, this also showed up the first time I did the GI test. She wanted to see what the adrenal test showed, before deciding to do another parasite removal program. On Monday I was in San Diego so I went to see her. I must say I do prefer having appointments in person then over the phone, especially when going over results. My cortisol levels were on the lower side, which is what I figured. In the morning the levels are supposed to be between 13-24. Mine tested at 12.3. Surprisingly, the noon value was fine at 8, when the say it should be between 5-8. Afternoon should be between 4-7, I was at 2.6. Nightime it should be between 1-3. I tested at 2.6 According to Stopthethyroidmadness.com here’s what the optimal levels should be:

8 am: at the literal top of the range
11 am-noon: in the upper quarter
4 – 5 pm: mid-range
11 pm to mid night: at the very bottom.

My practitioner asked me how I feel upon awakening, which I told her I don’t want to get out of bed, and can just lay in bed for an extra hour no problem. She also asked about the afternoon. The afternoons are usually when I’m the most tired, sometimes I feel like I just took a sleeping pill. I remember she was having me do food charts to see if certain foods, or portions were making me tired, but I had a feeling that my cortisol levels dropped below optimal levels during the afternoon.

For the hormone levels, my estrogen is a little high the reference range is 1-5 and I’m at 6.3. Symptoms of high estrogen are: migraines, weight gain, high blood pressure, fatigue, PMS, muscle aches, fibroids, depression, and aging skin. I do suffer from fatigue, and PMS.

Now onto my progesterone levels, they are pretty high. In fact my practitioner asked not once, but twice if I was pregnant. To which the answer is No. She told me that she has never seen progesterone levels so high. The reference range is 50-400, and mine are at 461. Symptoms of high progesterone that I have/had are: fatigue, drowsiness, fungal infections, and memory loss. Since progesterone is stored in tissue, I’m going to be doing sauna therapy to detox from the excess hormone. I’m going to to the sauna 3-4 times a week, and will slowly increase my time until I’m up to 30 minutes in one day. I went today, and wowsers was it HOT! I went in for 5 minutes out for one minute and in for 5 minutes. I didn’t even realize how much I was sweating until I got in the car and looked in the mirror.

I will also be doing a liver cleanse within the next 2 weeks. I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am to start the liver cleanses. I’m not sure how many I’ll have to do, going to see how the first one goes, and take it from there. To prepare for the liver cleanse I will eat nothing but carbohydrates on the day, and drink fruit juice. When my practitioner said Fruit Juice, I said FRUIT JUICE?? She said yep were going to be spiking your blood sugar levels all day. So that’s what in store for me during the next couple weeks. After the sauna, when I got home my nausea when reading was really bad, and this rash I had on the back of neck was incredibly itchy, so I defiantly felt like I was detoxing.
