I’m 27, attending school to become a nutrition educator. My main goal this year is to regain my health. I’ve been working with a holistic health care practitioner since February. I’ve been off gluten and dairy since February, and am now on a anti-fungal diet.  Once I became interested in eating healthy I started cooking. I’m not a great cook, but am getting better. My favorite celebrity chef is Jamie Oliver, I love watching him cook, and he’s easy on the peepers.  I am a recovering vegetarian. I was your typical junk-food eating teenager vegetarian, who loved my soy chicken nuggets, and low fat milk. I became a vegetarian at the age of 17 and started eating meat again when I was 24. When I started improving my diet the hardest thing for me to give up was junk food, I loved candy, and now I can’t stand the smell of it.  My favorite cookbook is Nourishing Traditions. I believe in buying local produce, grass-feed meat, and whole raw milk. The highlight of my week is going to the farmers market. I am very fortunate to live in Ca where the farmers markets are year-round.
